Dr Alan Herbert is a hydrogeologist with over 35 years experience of groundwater resource assessment and contaminant transport modelling. He has successfully led projects conducted on all major UK aquifers and dealing with fractured and low permeability media. His experience includes the development and application of finite element, finite difference and mathematical models to water resources and contaminant migration problems and includes the development of probabilistic risk assessment software.
